Sanquinnovate is delighted to announce the Patent Essentials workshop series.

These sessions are designed to support you by providing fundamental knowledge on patent protection, filing routes and strategies, and practical tools to help you safeguard your innovations and position them for maximum impact. 

Session 3: Searching and Interpreting Patents
This workshop will focus on reading and interpreting patent applications (including key bibliographic information used to identify them), as well as associated search reports and search opinions. It will also cover the use of patent search tools such as Espacenet and EPO Advanced Search. These tools are valuable for finding relevant prior art and determining the current legal status of patent applications. 

Snacks will be provided during the session and a certificate of attendance will be given following completion of all three sessions. 

Please note: this session will also be useful for those who did not attend the first two sessions (Introduction to Patents & Patenting Routes and Strategies), but who wish to gain more hands-on experience in interpreting patent applications and using practical patent search tools.
