HID Coffee is our recurring networking moment where professionals in Life Sciences come together over a good cup of coffee. Itβs an informal way to stay connected, share updates from across the campus, and discover new opportunities for collaboration. Each edition we highlight a relevant theme or initiative within the Health & Innovation District.
This time,Β Roos Gerritsen will give a short introduction to her exhibition at Galerie Joghem.
From December 9 to March 13, she presents part of her graduation work from the HKU (Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht). In her (video) installations, she explores the complex relationship between humans and animals, especially horses. She reflects on how we both care for and control these animals, showing a tension between affection and restriction. The work is shown alongside a temple-like installation, evoking ideas of civilization and refinement, resulting in a layered visual experience where intimacy and distance constantly shift.
By bringing this edition of HID coffee into a creative setting, we invite you to explore new perspectives;Β a reminder that innovation often begins with curiosity and imagination.
No registration is required,Β you can simply drop by Galerie Joghem.
